“ A great local spot on LBI, with good bar food and friendly staff. The gateway stays open most of the off-season, usually through December or January and boy are we thankful. The wings are really top tier with a great buffalo sauce. In the off season, stop in any football game day to take advantage of their loads of TV's and traditional bar fare, or on Tuesday's come in for Karaoke to hear the very talented voices of the off-peak crowds. BONUS: The gateways has a liquor store attached, so it's also the perfect spot to pick up anything you may need for home. ”
“ Any time we visit the area we have to get the Rhode Island clam chowder bread bowl and so should you :) It's a mix of red and white clam chowder and the bread bowl is perfectly baked every time. Thin and just the right amount of crunchy. It's the best clam chowder I've ever had. So good in fact that we ordered two quarts to take home. We were there at an off time so it wasn't very busy, a few tables were sat. It's got a nice bar area in the middle and a stage with tables around it. We also ordered some BBQ wings and they weren't the best, the sauce was too thick. I probably would stick to just the clam chowder next time :) ”
